Abstract
Legal Psychology as a social practice is a field of action that must pay attention to unique, ideological, political and historical-cultural issues, since the intersection of Psychology with Law goes beyond the applicability of techniques, a supposed scientific neutrality or an impossible reality universal. Thus, a professional performance is necessary in which the psychologist is committed to the effectiveness of social justice and the strengthening of rights. In this context, the objective of this work is to deliberate on the knowledge developed in the area of Legal Psychology through a report of the learning experience obtained in the curricular extension project: “Matrizes: gestando saberes em Legal Psychology”, linked to the Psychology Course of the Centro Universitário doctor Leão Sampaio (UNILEÃO). This extension was carried out in 2022 at the Legal Practice Center (NPJ/UNILEÃO) with action on demands from the Childhood and Youth Court of the city of Juazeiro do Norte-CE. To this end, re-readings of everyday notes were carried out and activities considered significant were highlighted based on the literature review, critical discussions of cases and the production of psychological reports during the course of the extension, all with the aim of highlighting the role of the psychologist ) as a problematizer and social agent of transformation and change.
