The intention of the Revista História Viva was to present itself to the market as a media outlet focused on the production and dissemination of history, based on the dissemination of texts based on academic productions. In this sense, the publication used the knowledge produced by professional historians in the format of journalistic texts. Thus, the periodical raises important questions to be debated about knowledge of the world and the past produced outside the academic environment, about Public History and about the relations between history and the media. From a methodological point of view, we sought to analyze the written production of the magazine in order to identify the occurrence of historiographical production of an ethical nature, respecting the theoretical rules of the field of history, since this editorial is not produced only by historians, and the regimes of historicity between these and journalists are distinct. Conclude by presenting the role of the researcher in History, highlighting the democratization of knowledge and how the media multiplies information.
Alexsandra dos Santos Goiana, Rosilene Alves de Melo Copyright (c) 2025 EntreAções: dialogues in extension https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1272 Tue, 15 Apr 2025 19:09:00 +0000 Cultivation of seaweed as a factor of development of a coastal community in Acaraú, Ceará //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1240
Seaweeds are benthic organisms widely distributed along the coasts, from tropical to Polar Regions. They are part of the Kingdom Plantae and, like terrestrial plants, marine algae also form the basis of the food chain, but in aquatic ecosystems, being among the main primary producers. The cultivation and use of marine macroalgae in a certain coastal community has its ecological, economic and social benefits, being used for human and animal nutrition, manufacture of beauty products, bioactive compounds, such as agar, carrageenan and alginate, production of extracts, for use in seed germination or as a foliar spray, aiming the better crop performance and yield, with the biomass resulting from this extract used as biofertilizers, applied directly to the soil of various cultivars. In tropical regions, it is important to highlight the genus Gracilaria (Rhodophyta), widely cultivated due to its high agar yield, such as the species Gracilaria birdiae. In this work we address macroalgae mariculture as a factor in the development of a coastal community on the Volta do Rio beach, in the municipality of Acaraú, Ceará. In this first moment, the cultivation of macroalgae, which is in the initial phase of production, will be destined for the manufacture of cosmetics, such as shampoo, conditioner, liquid and bar soap and algae moisturizer, all of which will be destined for commercialization, thus increasing, the income of the community involved in the project, showing the social responsibility that the referred extension action exerts.
João Victor Vasconcelos Martins, Jhonatas Teixeira Viana, Anita Naira Carneiro Paulo, Davi de Holanda Cavalcante, Glacio Souza Araújo Copyright (c) 2025 EntreAções: dialogues in extension https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1240 Tue, 15 Apr 2025 19:11:16 +0000 Geotechnologies in the classroom //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1283
The present story socializes a university extension experience carried out at the "Pedro José Orozco" Agrarian Secondary Education School No. 1 of Bajo Hondo in the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), intended for sixth-year teachers and students in conditions of professional practices. The objective of the work is to share the experience and methodology for university engagement through research and teaching with the community of Ejido Viejo de Santa Úrsula Coapa, as well as the main results obtained since the creation of the University Social Observatory was proposed in 2016, up to the ongoing projects during 2024, with a post-pandemic perspective.
Cecilia Peraza Copyright (c) 2025 EntreAções: dialogues in extension https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1257 Tue, 15 Apr 2025 19:15:44 +0000 Remote mental health promotion with Costa Rican adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1282
This article seeks to systematize the experience of two professionalizing modules of the Psychology degree at the Guanacaste Campus: Psychology of the Community Organization and Challenges in the Adolescence Clinic. During 2021, the practice of these courses was linked to a Teaching Extension project that addresses suicide prevention and the promotion of mental health in adolescents and young people from four cantons in the province of Guanacaste: Liberia, Tilarán, La Cruz and Santa Cruz. The activities carried out consisted of a diagnosis of interests, self-esteem workshops, identification and management of emotions, and individual psychological care for a maximum of 10 sessions; all carried out in virtual mode due to the mobility restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the main results it is found that adolescents require guidance on topics such as: use of technology and social networks (advantages and risks), guidance on identification and management of emotions, interpersonal relationships, and specifically, couple relationships, access to education and job opportunities, and finally, institutional routes to access social services. Furthermore, in many cases the family environment does not represent a protective factor, but is the place where many of the discomforts that affect the mental health of this population originate.
Silvia Azofeifa Ramos, Marleny Campos Chaves Copyright (c) 2025 EntreAções: dialogues in extension https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1282 Tue, 15 Apr 2025 19:17:04 +0000 Health academics experiences in a tutorial education program //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1246
The Tutorial Education Program (PET) in Health of the Chapéu Mangueira and Babilônia Communities stands out for its approach that integrates research, teaching and extension. Throughout 2022, PET carried out a range of activities. In addition to offering direct assistance to the population, the program promoted educational activities, conducted relevant academic research and offered training to local residents. Additionally, PET actively engaged in social media, expanding its reach and impact. This experience report seeks to provide a detailed overview of all initiatives undertaken during this period. Given the main challenges of this year, the pandemic was a limiting factor for some actions, the group looked for creative ways to overcome this barrier. Particularly noteworthy is the commitment of the academics involved, who not only sought to promote well-being in the communities served, but also improved their own training. By highlighting the importance of these actions for both the academic community and the benefiting public, this report highlights the vital role of PET in promoting health and building a more inclusive and fair society.
Victor Rivas Sousa da Cruz e Cruz, Ana Fonseca Altoé, João Paulo Monteiro Rodrigues Lima, Vivianne Mendes Araújo Silva, Hellen Roehrs, Roberto Carlos Lyra da Silva, Alcione Matos de Abreu Copyright (c) 2025 EntreAções: dialogues in extension https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1246 Tue, 15 Apr 2025 19:18:36 +0000 Pedagogical Workshop to produce a didactic resource "Solar System" for the teaching of science //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1252
This text deals with teaching resources for science teaching. The aim is to report on the construction of a teaching resource based on a pedagogical workshop run by undergraduate students. The idea for the workshop arose from the Multidisciplinary Laboratory for Educational Research and Teacher Training (LAMPEFOP) Extension Project and was planned to make a teaching resource called “Solar System”. During the workshop, they were briefly introduced to the importance of the teaching resource in the classroom, the step-by-step production of the resource and the material used to make it, in this case recyclable materials such as PET bottles. The students then began to build the Solar System by cutting and painting the bottles and gluing the planets, which were prepared using cardboard diluted in water and mixed with glue and vinegar. During the workshop, a questionnaire was administered to diagnose the relevance of developing resources for use in teaching and learning science content. The creation of the Solar System as a teaching resource allowed the students to understand the importance of carrying out this type of action in the initial training of teachers. For this reason, the production of the didactic resource, through the pedagogical workshop, can be very significant for the teaching-learning process and also as a facilitator of science content.
Maria Elcineide de Albuquerque Marialva, Andressa da Costa Almeida , Tanielly Cristina Raiol Silva Copyright (c) 2025 EntreAções: dialogues in extension https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 //periodicos.ufca.edu.br/ojs/index.php/entreacoes/article/view/1252 Tue, 15 Apr 2025 19:19:27 +0000
