PERCEPÇÃO DOS ESTUDANTES DE CURSOS TÉCNICOS SOBRE PEGADA ECOLÓGICA
Abstract
The present study verified the perception of students of technical courses about ecological footprint as an instrument for measuring consumption and unsustainable production. The research is classified as basic, descriptive and qualitative. The case study procedure followed. The study was conducted with 32 active students from technical courses in the field of agrarian sciences (agroindustry, animal husbandry and agriculture), and data were collected through the application of two questionnaires, which resulted in two indices of environmental perception. According to the results, it was observed that the majority of participants showed to be little conscious consumers, needing to review their consumption habits. Environmental awareness has come into effect as regards the actions that must be taken for the conservation and preservation of the environment. In this context, this research suggests the need to reassess everyday habits.
