Abstract

The internet, emphasized by Manuel Castells, and made possible by the development of Information and Communication Technologies – ICTs -, is used mainly for communication, interaction and social organization. It presupposes cyberspace as a place of resignification of the subject, which allows him to create and manipulate objects and to interact under a pre-existing knowledge in the constituent part of a dialectic of new knowledge.Social curation builds on the idea of ​​creating a content curation process independent of a specific professional, directing their actions as a result of social action, in this case all users of the social web, who seek to share knowledge in a way collective, resulting in a system conducive to the creation of consciousness and memory. The Acervo Bajubá is contextualized in these settings and contributes to the LGBTQIA+ memory. To support content curation and social curation as practices that enable the maintenance of LGBTQIA+ awareness and memory carried out by actors in social networks, based on the case analysis of the Acervo Bajubá. The case study presents itself as a research methodology that generally uses qualitative data that were previously collected from real events, aiming to explain, explore or describe current phenomena and their contexts. We were able to reflect on new relationships and curatorial practices that extend and invite reflection on the social role of content curation in digital environments. Enter the text here.
