groups of cultural tradition at the Feast of Santo Antônio in Barbalha-Ceará
Abstract
It is proposed to reflect on the importance of the concepts of memory, tradition and identity, from orality, recognizing this as an important element in the process of communication and transmission of traditions, handed down from generation to generation, by the traditional culture groups of the city of Barbalha- Ceará. In a historical and contextual exposition approaches and questions about the participation of the groups of tradition in the opening of the procession of the Festa de Santo Antônio, highlighting its origin and representativeness in the interior of Ceará. The objective of this research is the need to safeguard and register the elements of identity and cultural representation of the groups, through a mapping and categorization. The ethnographic method will be used to follow the groups and to conduct semi-structured interviews, as well as content analysis to extract the registration units and contexto units that will identify the group defining elements for categorization. As a conclusion, the final product will be a digital memorial catalog with the tradition groups that are registered at the Barbalha Culture Secretariat and participated in the Santo Antônio Pau da Bandeira Feast of the festival between 2016 and 2018.
