Information behavior and Information literacy
two perspectives for the same phenomenon
Abstract
It rescues the history of the research group “Information behavior and Information literacy” started in the 2000s. The group has two lines of research: study of informational behavior and theoretical and applied studies of Informational competence in user communities from different domains, in particular in educational contexts and academics and everyday life. Over its almost 22 years of existence, the group has dedicated itself to extension projects and research in the areas of undergraduate and graduate strictu sensu, contributing to the training of students, librarians, educators and new researchers. The retrospective description of the research group's journey allows us to glimpse the scope of the actions, whether at an individual level - in the training and performance of each participant, whether at an educational and social level, of how the activities carried out impact the groups reached, both those who participated directly from the activities, as well as from those who have access to the production resulting from this trajectory.
