Challenges for the curriculum of university extension in undergraduate courses
Abstract
The objective of this work is to make an analysis about the curricularization of extension and extensionist activity. For this, a bibliographic and documental survey was carried out, working with 12 texts of specialists who deal with extension and curricularization. There is a consensus that extension generates social benefits and is an important pillar for the formation of students and that the curricularization of extension comes to strengthen this social and educational process, but there are challenges to be overcome, such as lack of resources and better recognition of extension in the internal institutional processes of the universities themselves. We conclude that the curricularization of extension is a mandatory process and that it came at a good time to value extension in all its academic dimensions.
