Pedagogical Workshop to produce a didactic resource "Solar System" for the teaching of science
Abstract
This text deals with teaching resources for science teaching. The aim is to report on the construction of a teaching resource based on a pedagogical workshop run by undergraduate students. The idea for the workshop arose from the Multidisciplinary Laboratory for Educational Research and Teacher Training (LAMPEFOP) Extension Project and was planned to make a teaching resource called “Solar System”. During the workshop, they were briefly introduced to the importance of the teaching resource in the classroom, the step-by-step production of the resource and the material used to make it, in this case recyclable materials such as PET bottles. The students then began to build the Solar System by cutting and painting the bottles and gluing the planets, which were prepared using cardboard diluted in water and mixed with glue and vinegar. During the workshop, a questionnaire was administered to diagnose the relevance of developing resources for use in teaching and learning science content. The creation of the Solar System as a teaching resource allowed the students to understand the importance of carrying out this type of action in the initial training of teachers. For this reason, the production of the didactic resource, through the pedagogical workshop, can be very significant for the teaching-learning process and also as a facilitator of science content.
