Rondon Project
knowing your history
Abstract
The Rondon Project was created in 1967, when 30 university students and 2 teachers decided to learn more about the reality of Amazonian communities in the state of Rondônia, right after this first expedition, they realized the project and had the support of the Government. The project aims to connect academics from different universities with the Brazilian reality and develop actions that bring benefits to communities, such as the "Operation Northeast". The present article, through documents in the gray literature offered online and free, presents the history of the Rondon Project, from its beginning to the current actions developed by the Rondonists, and addresses the project within the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA).
