Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship in the Enactus UFCA Program
results and challenges of extension actions
Abstract
The Enactus UFCA Program has been operating in communities in Ceara's Cariri for eleven years, focusing on social entrepreneurship, and has three ongoing projects, namely: Maená, Maria Bonita and Phyplant, aimed at the areas of civil construction, production of sanitary pads ecological and phytotherapeutic, respectively. This experience report aims to expose the results and challenges experienced by the projects of the 2021-2022 cycle, promoted by the Dean of Extension of the Federal University of Cariri (PROEX/UFCA). Among the main impacts are the advances in terms of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted both in the training of students, through their engagement with issues related to sustainability, and through the exchange of knowledge with the public participating in the actions, collaborating, therefore, for the generation of work and income for socioeconomically vulnerable populations and for the development of student protagonism.
