Geotechnologies in the classroom
an inter-institutional project, the case of the Agricultural School of Bajo Hondo, Argentina
Abstract
The present story socializes a university extension experience carried out at the "Pedro José Orozco" Agrarian Secondary Education School No. 1 of Bajo Hondo in the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), intended for sixth-year teachers and students in conditions of professional practices. The experience was carried out during the month of September 2022 in the facilities of the school and the Universidad Nacional del Sur, through training that covered three meetings, with the objectives of applying the agronomic knowledge acquired at the school in the analysis and interpretation of satellite images, acquire skills in the use of specific instruments and, finally, link students with the university and the world of work. The training was directed by members of the Geotechnologies Laboratory of the Department of Geography and Tourism of the Universidad Nacional del Sur with the support of the Díaz Vélez Foundation.
