Mulecas
young people as protagonists of social transformations
Abstract
The present experience report comprises the applied methodology and the results obtained from the project “Mulecas: Jovens como Protagonistas de Transformações Sociais”, carried out by the scholars, through the “UFCA Itinerante” program. This report will address the importance of the relationship between the University and society through university extension, as well as the need for direct contact with high school students. In addition, the report discusses the experience of the fellows as members of the project and the challenges faced in terms of didactics applied to distance learning in the face of the reality of the pandemic of COVID-19. The project seeks, through the insertion of the theme of social entrepreneurship, to encourage young high school students to develop ways to impact the community where they live, in addition to awakening in them the protagonist thought. For this, the applied methodology consists of the presentation of important concepts for the development of the entrepreneurial vision and the application of activities where these concepts will be exercised. It is concluded that the University, through university extension, acts in a relevant way for regional communities, bringing innovation and inclusion, as well as the opportunity for change and to create beings capable of generating change. That said, it is unquestionable not only scientific relevance, but also a social one led by the actions of the academy.
