Growth of family farming in the municipality of Crato-CE
Abstract
In the Cariri, region organic agriculture has been developing rapidly and it has an expanding market. That said, this article aims to present the experience of acquisition of the declaration of Social Control Organization with the Ministry of Agriculture for Organic Producers from the Cariri, Region in the state of Ceará. In Crato, where the Organic Production Program of the Municipality of Crato is developed, linked to the course of Agronomy at the Federal University of Cariri, which sought the improvement of organic, practices combined with the elaboration of products, through the work of family farmers with this process, technical visits to the properties, orientation workshops on legal aspects, management and identification of diseases and the correct use of alternative agro-ecological defensives were carried out. The process resulted in the registration of the Social Control Organism, which came to modify the reality of family farmers.
