Effectiveness of extension actions for the optimization of accounting knowledge
experience reports in the Accounting Sciences course at CERES/UFRN
Abstract
One of the inseparable pillars of Higher Education Institutes is university extension, whose purpose is to establish a link between the practice of teaching and research and, therefore, contribute to the formation of the student. In this sense, the present manuscript aims to report the experiences obtained with the execution of five extension projects between the years 2021 and 2022, which were managed by the Accounting Sciences course, linked to the CERES/UFRN Campus, in Caicó-RN. Methodologically, the research fits in terms of means such as bibliographic, documentary and descriptive. As for the results, the main evidence points out that: the critical formation of the student, the approximation of theoretical and practical knowledge, the achievement of the social role of the university and the promotion of quality education, as well as the dissemination of science are some of the benefits. that guide the existence of extension actions in the academy. Finally, it is expected that this manuscript will be a motivating instrument for future projects coordinated by universities and, a posteriori, socialization of these experiences through scientific research, given the importance of guiding this theme and doing justice to the mission of universities as spaces proponents of scientific knowledge.
