University Extension and Sustainable Development
a fearless combination
Abstract
n its first issue, published in 2022, Revista EntreAções: dialogues in extension, publishes a special edition with interviews, articles and reports from guest authors who work academically and professionally on issues related to the sustainable development of our planet. What we should reflect on is the following question: what is the importance of the University Extension turning its gaze in order to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Brazil? The answer to this question lies in the fact that the SDGs were prepared by the United Nations (UN) so that the 2030 Agenda, which provides a set of goals and actions to improve the quality of life of all people, without distinction everywhere, can be achieved in Brazil through, in particular, the fight against poverty, protection of the environment and the promotion of peace and prosperity.
